Carl Edwards is considered one of NASCAR's most voracious competitors. Known for his trademark victory back flips, Edwards' career highlights include two NASCAR-sanctioned track championships, three Rookie-of-the-Year honors and over 75 feature wins.
Runner-up in both the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series, Edwards was named the Tag Heuer Top Racecar Driver of the Year, Richard Petty Driver of the Year and the 2008 NASCAR.COM Driver of the Year.
Off the track, Edwards recently renewed his sponsorship agreement with the Claritin® team to continue encouraging safe driving practices. As an allergy sufferer and Claritin user, he will serve as a spokesperson for the Claritin® Clear to Drive℠ campaign, educating consumers about the importance of reading medicine labels to check for drowsiness warnings before driving.
In his free time Edwards enjoys spending time with family and friends in his hometown of Columbia, Mo., riding motorcycles, working out and reading. He is also passionate about his involvement with charities including Speedway Children's Charities, Dream Factory and Victory Junction Gang Camp.
Edwards' media experience includes TV appearances on the Today Show, the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Extra!, CMT and a role on the Fox hit drama 24 (2006). In addition, Edwards has been featured on the covers of ESPN The Magazine and Men's Health.
